Responsibilities
- Research and Development: Propose and explore novel deep learning algorithms and architectures to solve high impact problems for addressing foot and MSK health.
- Model Development and Optimization: Design, implement, and optimize deep learning models for tasks such as shape completion, VLM, pose alignment.
- Data Pipeline Management: Develop and maintain robust data pipelines, ensuring data quality and availability for training and testing models.
- Algorithm Implementation: Translate research ideas into practical, efficient algorithms and integrate them into production systems.
- Performance Evaluation: Conduct rigorous experiments to evaluate model performance and iterate on designs based on empirical results.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, product, design, and domain experts, to integrate your solutions into products.
- Code Quality and Documentation: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code to support reproducibility and maintainability of research outputs.
- Mentorship and Team Building: Mentor junior researchers and engineers, providing guidance on best practices and fostering a collaborative research environment.
- Patent and Publication: Contribute to the intellectual property portfolio of the company by filing patents and publishing research findings in top-tier conferences and journals.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Academic and Professional Excellence: Holds a PhD in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or related fields with experience in AI, or a Master’s degree with significant and compelling industry experience. Also open to others with extremely compelling work experience. We heavily bias to real world industry experience.
- Hands-on Experience: Skilled in 3D reconstruction, shape completion, vision language models, object detection and segmentation, Gaussian splatting, network optimization, and SIM2Real.
- Tech Stack: Proficient with TensorFlow, PyTorch, TensorRT, and cloud computing platforms such as AWS.
- Passion for Accessibility: Committed to an accessibility-first approach, developing solutions that cater to a diverse audience, including those less technologically adept.
- Dynamic and Resilient: Has prior experience of working in a fast-paced start-up environment that is ever-changing and constantly expanding.
